Magical Objects #1_The Starry Umbrella

G'day mate,

Welcome back to the blog. Today I wanted to start something exciting, so I decided to make a series of stories for my blog. This series is called "Magical Objects". In each post, I will have a new story about a different magical object. Did you enjoy the task from last week? I sure did. I hope you enjoy the first story of this series.

A strange man in fine clothes was begging out on the streets. He had a black umbrella with him. A passer-by noticed the strange man's umbrella and desperately wanted it. She asked the man for his umbrella in exchange for a hundred dollars. He naturally agreed and gave her the umbrella with a warning, "Don't get too lost..." And he was gone within the blink of an eye. She walked back to her cottage with the brand new umbrella. She hung it on her coat stand and went to make her evening tea. Her little retriever, Bean was staring at the umbrella uneasily.

It was nighttime and she was heading to the bed when she saw the umbrella glowing faintly. This was when Bean started barking like mad. She hushed him and tried to open the umbrella. That's when she remembered it was bad luck to open it indoors. So, she moved out into her backyard and attempted to open the umbrella yet again. The umbrella was jammed. She went back to bed knowing that she had a long and tiresome day.

She woke up to see a cloudy morning ahead of her. As soon as she stepped out of her house it started pouring. So, she opened her new umbrella. It wasn't jammed anymore! On the way to her workplace, she noticed something falling on her, stars! It was neither like glitter nor like rain. It was gentle and ambient, in a way unexplainable. She looked around and saw that no one noticed it; only she could see it. This splendid magic somehow made her feel everything like the tender stars. Then she understood the strange man's warning. Those words told her to not get lost in the starry feelings.
